Infrastructure Tower Upgrade Project - Stage 1
The primary goal of the Infrastructure Tower Upgrade Project (ITUP) Stage 1 was to ensure that infrastructure assets complied with Australian Standards; and that both the condition and the projected life of the assets was sufficient to meet the current and future operational and engineering requirements of Airservices Australia.
A capital works program is being implemented by Airservices Australia using the engineering analysis undertaken by Silcar, and endorsed by the appropriate Airservices Australia Engineering Authorities.
ITUP Stage 1 involved:
A review and validation of Airservices’ site audit documentation
A desktop review of Airservices’ site documentation for each site to identify sites requiring site inspections
Inspections of infrastructure assets at the identified sites
Engineering assessments of all the sites inspected
The creation of a capital works program including budget estimates for the replacement and upgrade of infrastructure assets at the Sites as required.
The Project deliverables will be used to plan major field works to extend the life of Airservices’ assets.
